Become a virtual Bedside Buddy and help families with ill or injured children be by their bedside

Please give a monthly gift to help Queensland families with ill or injured children be at their bedside

Become a virtual Bedside Buddy regular giver and help families with ill or injured QLD children be by their bedside, by helping fund family accommodation and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland.

Your monthly gift will help a child like Fletcher, along with their family, have a home-away-from-home during hospital stays.

Little Fletcher needed urgent medical care. He was rushed from rural Queensland to Townsville. His condition was so serious he then had to be flown to Brisbane.

It was a long way from home and treatment would take months and months.

Support from a kind person like you meant that he and his family could have a place to stay filled with care and comfort. By becoming a virtual Bedside Buddy, you'll help other families of ill or injured children be there by their bedside, when they need it the most.

Show your ongoing support for another child like Fletcher as a virtual Bedside Buddy regular giver now.

You’ll also receive a free copy of our digital children’s book The Kid Who Lived at the Hospital.

Your gift will help another child like Tayla and her family.

When Tayla was diagnosed with a brain tumour, she needed urgent treatment in Brisbane. It was a long way from home.

That first trip lasted 10 days and marked the start of regular hospital visits every three months. Tayla ended up enduring 30 rounds of chemotherapy, over six years.

As a single parent, Tayla’s mum says the cost of accommodation to be near Tayla would’ve been crippling. But thanks to kind people like you supporting RMHC SEQ, the family had a place to stay, warm meals, and the comfort of knowing they weren’t alone.

“Not having to worry about meals while we’re at appointments helps us so much. The support, the smiles, the activities. It all means the world,” Tayla’s mum said.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support has helped us through the hardest times.”
